A visit to Spinalonga can last from one hour to several, depending on how much you know about the island history. In case you read the book or watched the TV show, you probably would like to spend some time in the abandoned little houses and stroll around the alleys to get a sense of the life back in the leprosy years. Take your time to climb on the top of the islet to admire the view. Before leaving the island, take a quick swim in the warm waters where the boat left you to cool down and relax. Don't hurry, you can always take any one of the next boats to return back
