Музей за история на София/ Sofia Museum of History
Sofia's history museum is hosted in a beautiful building which used to be the central mineral baths of Sofia. The baths were shutdown permanently in 1986 because of the bad condition of the building and the fear of collapsing roof.
Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Sofia
Alexander Nevsky cathedral occupies an area more than 3.000 square meters and can hold more than 10.000 people inside which makes it one of the largest orthodox churches in the world. Its 12 bells of total weight of 23 tons, are rang by Maria Zabova, a 85+ years old woman that does this for the last 35 years.
Palace of Justice / Съдебна палата
At the beginning of Vitoshka street, you can't avoid noticing a monumental building that hosts Sofia's court houses. The Palace of Justice is decorated with two giant lions at the entrance.
Vitosha Boulevard
Sofia in Bulgaria, one of the oldest inhabited places in Europe, is located in the middle of Balkan peninsula and it is a very nice and welcoming city. Vitoshka is the busiest pedestrian street in the city and is considered to be the trade center of Sofia. If you happen to walk to Vitoshka on a spring Sunday don't forget to sit and enjoy an iced coffee. If you are Greek you will be lucky because they also serve frappe.
VDNKh
The exhibition of ahievements of national economy in former soviet union served as a place that all 15 republics displayed their achievements in agriculture, in industry and in science. Each republic had its own pavilion. In the central pavilion 15 signs of the 15 soviet republics are placed on each side of the building. There is also one extra sign which is empty and for some depicts the 16th soviet republic that was considered to be Bulgaria.
VDNKh Park
If you had a chance to watch a Russian movie you will be familiar with this picture. Mosfilm, one of the largest and oldest studios in Europe adopted in 1947 the statue of the Worker and Kolkhoz Woman as its logo and only during the soviet era they produced 3000 films. Troitskaya Tower
Kremlin which means 'fortress inside a city' hosts the government of Russian federation and before that it was served as the seat of Grand Dukes, the resident of Tsars and the house of Lenin. It consists of big walls and 20 towers. The tallest is Troitskaya Tower with total height of 80 meters
