The other way to go to Balos is by using a car. The road is maintained every year but the nature of the surface makes it really difficult to keep it in a good condition. Locals usually avoid using their cars to go to Balos. If you use a car, you have to drive with caution. At the end of the road you will park on the top of the hill and then you walk for 30 minutes on an easy path to the beach.
