Much controversial between the locals about this statue because the erotic appearance of it doesn't look appropriate to a Christian Saint. It is possible that the sculptor wanted to show the attractiveness of wisdom (sophia in Greek)
Russian Church, Sofia
The church of Saint Nicholas the miracle-maker, or most commonly known in Sofia, the Russian church was built after the liberation of Bulgaria by the Russians from Ottoman empire. It was built in 1910s on the site of a saray mosque which was destroyed during the liberation.

St Nedelya Church
In the heart of the Sofia city the square of St Nedelya is located. A meeting place for many locals, the square is at the beginning of the busy Vitoshka pedestrian street. The name of the square comes from the majestic church located there. Sveta Nedelya or holy Sunday is an orthodox Christian church which has been reconstructed many times through the ages as it has suffered several damages from wars and earthquakes in the past
Presidency Sofia
In front of Bulgaria Presidency building two members of the presidential guard watch and protect the president and the democracy. They usually wear a red uniform and a hat with an feather from an eagle that symbolizes the proud spirit of Bulgarians.
